Shoulders are a complex joint and need quite a bit of love and care - whether you are active or not. Shoulder floss is a good way to warm up the joint and work on full range of motion. Take it slow and work your way through the full range!
- Get a strap (or belt or tie or towel) that has enough length for you to start with wide arms
- Hold it taut (tight) and bring it above your head - see how far you could go
- Work your way slowly to bringing your arms all the way back
- Avoid bending backwards or rounding your back - keep it straight and let your shoulders do the work! Shoulders back, chest out!
- Slowly try the motion by inching your hands closer on the strap
- Be cautious and try a few iterations regularly and feel your neck and shoulders relax! Also good for all ages/ fitness levels and all stages of pregnancy. 🙂
